Tasks

Key Responsibilities of Business Funding Manager:

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement innovative fundraising strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Donor Engagement: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with new donors and supporters, including investors, individuals, family offices, corporations, and foundations.
  • Financial Management: Monitor fundraising progress and provide regular reports on achievements and challenges.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of fundraising professionals (if needed), providing guidance and support to achieve collective goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct research on fundraising/investing trends and donor/investor preferences within the UAE market.

Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all fundraising activities comply with local laws and ethical standards.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, and crowdfunding, with a track record of successful revenue generation.
  • Strong network in the philanthropic and investor community of Dubai.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of UAE's fundraising and investing regulations and cultural sensitivities.
Benefits

Compensation:
  • The compensation for this position is based on a percentage of the funds raised. Specific terms will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation Model: Percentage-Based Compensation

Structure:

  • The Fundraising Manager's compensation is uniquely structured as a percentage of the total funds raised.
  • This model is designed to incentivize high performance and align the manager's rewards directly with the success of their fundraising efforts.

Details:

  • Percentage Rate: The specific percentage rate will be determined based on experience and past performance and will be agreed upon during the final stages of the hiring process.
  • Calculation Basis: The percentage will be calculated on the net funds raised, after deducting any direct costs associated with fundraising activities.
  • Payment Schedule: Payments will be made on a monthly basis, 1st in the month for the last month, based on the funds successfully collected and received during that period.
  • Minimum Target: A baseline fundraising target may be set, below which the percentage-based compensation does not apply. This ensures focus on achieving significant fundraising milestones.
