Job Title: DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENTEmployment Type: Full-timeLocation: Sharjah (HQ)Objective of the Role: To provide strategic direction in developing human resources policy and procedures by leading various aspects such as manpower planning, performance management, learning and development, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior management to enhance the business through innovative human-resources practices.
  • Develop human resources policies in compliance with regulations and government requirements to support the university's vision and mission.
  • Plan annual manpower requirements for academic and non-academic positions.
  • Support initiatives to attract Emirati talents through career development and training opportunities.
  • Advise on strategic staffing, compensation, learning, development, and organizational structure.
  • Oversee the recruitment process to ensure selection of the most suitable candidates.
  • Analyze and benchmark compensation practices in the market.
  • Recommend systems for improving HR operations.
  • Facilitate communication between HR and other departments.
  • Manage department budget and expenditures efficiently.
  • Engage with HR consultancy firms for competitive compensation strategies.
  • Define HR KPIs and monitor departmental progress.
  • Lead change management processes effectively.
  • Provide necessary reports and analytics to management.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and ERP Systems.
  • Understanding of personalities and behavioral styles.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
  • Over 15 years of leadership experience in HR, preferably in higher education.
  • Preferential consideration for UAE Nationals.
