JOB OBJECTIVE:

Implement Dubai's value proposition to meeting planners, associations and other business events stakeholders and professionals, and support on Dubai Business Events marketing and PR efforts, including content and collateral.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Core Functional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of Dubai's value proposition for business events and identify sub elements to articulate and detail it further
  • Conduct research to identify Dubai's unique proposition for business events and closely follow the changes in the market to keep them up-to-date
  • Coordinate the data collection activities from government and private entities on the existing business events infrastructure, support and complementary knowledge economy in the city
  • Develop presentations and communication material to support efforts to attract business events to the city, including bid presentations, documents and collateral
  • Manage the planning activities for business events marketing campaigns, working with the DBE team to decide on target markets and unique selling points to be marketed
  • Align with DBE to guide and support the development of marketing collateral including presentations, brochures, flyers and EDMs to promote Dubai as a preferred regional hub/ headquarters location.
  • Prepare materials (e.g. presentations, memos, etc.) to be used during roadshows and sales conferences to promote Dubai as a preferred destination for business events
  • Update communication/ information sharing materials (e.g. email bodies, presentations, reports) related to business environment and relevant Dubai laws and regulations
  • Keep abreast of the latest DET and DBE brand guidelines and ensure they are used according to the guidelines
  • Review third party providers' and agencies' proposals for DET business events marketing needs and provide information to selection process
  • Lead on briefing agencies on all required activities and support and drive the delivery if all contracted deliverables in line with a defined plan.
  • Review third party provider (e.g. consultants, agencies) performance during activities related to DBE's business marketing needs and ensure that deliverables are aligned with organization's priorities
  • Lead the global media partnerships day to day delivery related to business events marketing activities and review the draft memos and responses developed upon their requests
  • Support DBE in delegate boosting for business events taking place in Dubai, including through owned social media channels and providing required assets and/or collateral
