Job Responsibility

Job Activity
Financial Reporting & Audit

  • Monthly book closing with all accruals
  • To perform month end checks for Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger in the finance system.
Consolidation of TB and finalization of accounts

  • Assist in monthend closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation etc
  • Support in reporting requirements such as audit schedules and others
  • To liaise with auditors statutory and internal audit.

MIS

  • To produce timely and reliable management information reports on a daily / weekly /monthly basis.
  • To develop and control a centralised chart of accounts to ensure that accounts are effectively managed.
  • To investigate variances against budgets and provide analysis of differences.
  • Work in special projects as required
  • To develop new systems/ reports to respond to the changing needs of the business/organisation.
  • To ensure that
    MIS data is accurate and robust ensuring that reports are accessible and to all stakeholders.
  • To prepare feasibility studies for new projects

General Ledger

  • Review of General Ledger on a concurrent basis and initiate necessary actions/ entries for rectification
  • Approve requirements of any new account at any location basis the chart of accounts
  • Control on Inter unit balances and reconciliation
Budgeting

  • To provide the basic framework and formats to various business units for making their budgets
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cashflow forecasts at Corporate level.
  • Consolidation of Budgets & Forecasts of multiple business units and providing analysis on KPIs that impacts business.

Requirement:

Hospitality experienced applicants only:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in management accounting or financial management.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Systems (ERP).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well versed in Excel and PowerPoint presentations
