Job SummaryThe Head of Products will be responsible for developing, delivering, and enhancing products and services for the Consumer Financial Business. This role will lead the organization in research for new products, product enhancements, and product redesign.
Key Responsibilities- Product Development: Conceive, develop, and launch market-leading products and services, strategically planning and managing the entire product portfolio.
- Product Roadmap: Develop short- and long-term product roadmaps, inclusive of functional perspectives of evolving features/capabilities, consolidated views of related technology activities, and business case analysis.
- Client Feedback: Collate client feedback/segmentation analysis, overall industry/market trends, and regulatory intelligence gathering to drive product and procedure enhancements.
- Product Strategy: Develop and communicate product strategy, roadmap prioritization, P&L management, and cost and revenue analyses. Design and execute actions to reduce costs/manual processes, enhance revenues, and maximize profitability.
- Efficiency: Drive efficiency by providing leadership/design end-to-end solutions to meet business and client objectives.
- Product Life Cycle: Own product life cycles from development to launch, looking for ways to innovate upon existing products. Ensure that ongoing product innovation and development meets strategic and financial objectives.
- Management Processes: Establish and conduct management processes – product management meetings, monthly internal financial reviews, and weekly Operations, Technology, and Sales meetings.
- Risk and Control: Ensure a pristine risk and control environment and lead Continuity of Business efforts. Oversee all aspects of product-risk-related projects and initiatives. Represent business in all internal and external audit discussions.
- Digitization: Take part in efforts with Operations and Technology to digitize existing products to gain efficiency and market expansion.
- Partnerships: Participate and lead in internal partnership meetings and discussions, cooperating with, responding to, and remediating findings related to audits, vendor management, compliance with regulatory and compliance issues/updates, and risk management.
- Customer Centricity: Partner with cross-functional teams (including risk, legal, AML, technology, QA, design, marketing, etc.) to execute on initiatives.
- Product Management Strategy: Develop and enhance customer-centric product delivery processes.
- Leadership: Be responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources, including provision of a strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings.
- Policies and Procedures:
- Product Marketing/Branding Strategy: Build and implement Product Marketing/Branding Strategy.
- Product Issues: Be responsible for all product-related issues within the whole organization, in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Partnering Skills: Solid partnering skills, including organization understanding (working seamlessly across formal and informal channels) and balancing aggressive drive with consensus building and listening.
- Product Knowledge: Knowledge of the processes necessary to develop, roll-out, and manage products in order to support successful banking and financial product life-cycles.
- Regulatory Environment: Knowledge of the regulatory environment and competitive situation.
- Professional Know-How: Professional know-how necessary to plan and manage budgets, run a department, campaign, or project.
- Planning and Running Projects: Knowledge of skills associated with the tools and techniques of planning and running organization projects and processes.
- Business and Technology: Sound knowledge and understanding of business and technology.
- Analytical, Strategic, and Coordinating Skills: Strong analytical, strategic, and coordinating skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field /Commerce/Economics from reputable University.
- Certification: Product Management certification.
- Product Management Experience: years' experience in Product Management and Execution.
