The opportunity
The opportunity will be primarily based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and the Company is looking at onboarding a competent and well experienced Transport Coordinator within its Operations Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for installation and implementation of Fleet Management system & GPS tracking
- Coordinate Fleet & Transport activities
- Experience in preparing and implementing SOPs & SLAs
- Experience in system evaluations and amendments
- Responsible for exercising all kinds of Transport / Fleet related data analysis & reporting
- Direct investigate, verify and resolve customer complaints, road accidents or any other unplanned event.
- To maintain the health and safety of the distribution team.
- Report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues.
- Keep a record of drivers and other staff (License copy /ID card / Health certificate Etc.).
- Assign drivers to deliveries, handle customer complaints, and investigate delivery issues, including returns, late or missed deliveries
- Keep various logs of work such as maintenance, repairs, mileage, fuel, incidences etc. and provide periodic reports to accounts and management.
- Ensure timely & efficient document processing for scheduled maintenance, keep relevant records up to date, and submit timely reports and required analyses.
- Ensuring all vehicles are legally registered, with the required permits and insured for the purposes of work with relevant authorities.
- Ensure periodical calibration of delivery vehicles' chillers/freezers to avoid any delays and penalties imposed by authorities.
- Coordinate and work along with inhouse mechanics for any urgent vehicle maintenance
- Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations, including Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, Dubai World Central, QHSE, and UAE Labor Law.
- Prepare bills and spending reports.
- Manage shift deliveries against agreed service standards and operational KPIs
- Ensure all client requests are met accurately and within the time scale set.
- Ensure PODs are properly acknowledged by customers and handover to the accounts department on a daily basis
- Ensure proper reporting of the activities of the shift
Qualifications
- Graduate + Technical certification in Mechanical/Automobile or similar certification
- 45 years of GCC experience, at least 23 years in UAE
- Good presentation skills
- Experience in route planning
- Experience in managing all transactions related to Government authorities related to transport Dept.
- Experience in vehicle service and maintenance
- Experience in managing inventory control of vehicle spare parts.
- Excellent written and Communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to develop and maintain accurate analytics and reports.
- UAE driving license is preferable.
