Manager - Procurement - Aldar Academies

To lead the procurement team in meeting organizational needs according to departmental standards and objectives.
Oversee the procure to pay cycle with continuous performance monitoring and identifying opportunities for process improvement to deliver top-notch procurement services.
The chosen candidate will strive to exceed both internal and external customer expectations while embodying the Aldar Education Core Values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main Duties:
- Supervising specific Procurement categories within the business
- Managing day-to-day procurement activities
- Developing strategies for each category and ensuring their proper implementation aligning with the annual Procurement Plan
- Running and managing RFQs/RFPs to meet the Procurement Plan and category strategy
- Planning school procurement to ensure timely delivery
- Negotiating with suppliers for quality and service
Specific Duties:
- Managing the procurement contracts and Vendor management Specialists team
- Acting as a procurement lead on strategic projects such as Technology projects, Merger Projects, or special assignments
- Finding synergies to enhance the organization's commercial advantage through economy of scale
- Reviewing award recommendations and providing feedback
- Researching markets for suppliers, sources, and product availability
- Developing dashboards
- Ensuring purchasing activities comply with corporate governance
- Solving procurement process, logistics, and tender-related issues
- Maintaining relationships with preferred suppliers for high-quality goods/services, expedient delivery, and dependable service at optimal prices
- Compiling and preparing reports, analyzing progress, adverse trends, and providing recommendations or conclusions
- Performing other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate level degree or relevant Procurement qualification
- CIPS Certified is an advantage
Minimum Experience:
- At least 8 years of procurement experience in the region, with a preference for education procurement experience
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven track record in developing advanced procurement processes and methods
- Strong English communication skills and preferably Arabic proficiency
- Attention to detail, diligent follow-up, and timely execution
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP Ariba
- Understanding of agreements Terms and Conditions
- Negotiation skills
- Effective stakeholders management skills
- Dynamic personality, able to work in a fast-paced multinational environment
- Familiarity with education supplier base is advantageous
