Departmental Trainer - Food & Beverage Service


DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island is looking for a Food & Beverage Departmental Trainer to join the team With 723 rooms, 14 food and beverage outlets, 7 Pools and a private beach, this award-winning property offers elevated comfort and food inspired by from around the world.

The role reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and has liaison with L&D; Manager and is a great opportunity to start or transition your career into an training role in the Hospitality Industry.

As a Food & Beverage Departmental Trainer, you would be responsible for:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and facilitating activities between the F&B; Managers, Team Members and L&D; including meetings schedules, etc.
  • Establishes communication with employees with F&B; division to seek opinions and comments on employees training issues
  • Managing Training programs as well as talent management activities including registration, administration and logístical or venue arrangements
  • Observes, conduct daily On-JobTraining (SOP) within F&B; division and provides feedback to the respective trainers.
  • Develops new SOPs when needed or when new procedures are implemented. Implement SOP checklist /evaluation tracking system and ensure outlet trainers are completing it correctly.
  • Maintaining training calendar, team productivity reports, updated curriculum versions
  • Supervising and monitoring progress made via training programmes or schemes
  • Ensuring employees receive statutory required training
  • Communication, facilitating or improve Food Safety practice
  • Supporting associate engagement projects
  • Handling daily administrative tasks related to training
  • Coordinate assigned Projects with partner departments

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to excel in a fastpaced and actionbiased environment
  • Detailedoriented, structured, and organized

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

  • Strong presentation skills and team member relations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (focusing on MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Excellence in technology such as adaptability to software and using new tools is required

Qualifications / Education:

  • Currently a Team Leader or Supervisor in F&B; Service with proven track record of training team members
  • Graduate of Business or Hospitality
  • Previous hospitality internships and experiences in Operating including F&B; Service
