Key ResultResponsibilities
  • ManagesCompanys accounts for all costs revenue accounts & relatedactivities in coordination with Stakeholders and external partiesensuring timeliness and accuracy as well as compliance withrequirements and regulations.
  • Manages GeneralLedgers subsidiary ledgers suspense accounts etc. to ensurefinancial transaction are posted & recordedaccurately.
  • Delivers IFRS compliant audited andconsolidated Financial statements for all groupcompanies.
  • Subject matter expert forimplementation of Financial ERP system with integration ofmultifunctional systems.
  • Responsible for allRevenue channels cross all entities. Achieves all receivables asper credit terms establishes strong internal controls for noleakage of revenues and ensure cash inflows for effective cashmanagement. GSA management for adherence to all contractualobligations and credit terms including provision of valid bankguarantees.
  • Utilizes and maintains availablerecords to monitor Direct Sector Costs accounts and payments; onmonthly basis analyses rates of components in purchase orders andinvoices against previous purchases and in accordance with agreedcontracting terms to highlightvariations.
  • Coordinates with internal andexternal auditors on schedules to facilitate their audit reviewsand ensure smooth inspection as per adoptedprocedures.
Key Result Responsibilities (continued)
  • Partnerswith Stakeholders to prepare budgets for the direct sector costs;compares actual costs versus estimates analyses variations andhighlights areas of difference on monthly basis. Communicatesresults to department heads to ensure proper budgeting andreasoning for any cost increase.
  • Manages theskills and performance of the corresponding team with focus onknowledge sharing process improvement as well as careerenhancement. Motivates coaches mentors and monitors the overallperformance of the team members to achieve high standards indelivering results.
  • Agrees objectives andidentify KPIs for the respective team members; ensures his/hersubordinates are fully aware and knowledgeable of their targets.Provides ongoing support and supervision to the team members toassist them achieve their goals and bridge any gapsidentified.
  • Ensures the available resourcessuch as manpower systems tools and procedures are properly managedand utilized to achieve optimal productivity in line with Companysfinancial objectives.
  • Generates functionrelated reports such as the MIS reports to be presented toManagement on regular basis. Ensure financial planning andreporting highlights with Head ofdepartment
  • Manages taxation function tocontribute towards designing the taxation process flow &outputs. Monitor teams for timely filing of returns handle any taxaudits and ensure all statutorycompliance.
  • Manages supplier payments andensures controls are in place for accurate payment in accordancewith agreed terms and conditions. Interacts and coordinates withStakeholders vendors GSAs and others to support them with anyqueries on functionrelatedmatters.
Qualifications(Academic traininglanguages)
  • Bachelordegree in Accounting / Finance/Commerce or equivalent from arecognized university.
  • CA (CharteredAccountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certificates arepreferable.
  • Professional certificates ortrainings related to Ancillaries are considered anadvantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft OfficeAdvanced Excel Access Word Power Point skills Internet and WebSearch.
  • Cost Control Compliance Budgeting andAuditing certificates and trainings are an added value and some maybe treated as conditional for thisrole.
WorkExperience
  • 10years of experience in corporate finance/accounting with a minimumof 3 years in Airlines Industry in a managerial or senior roleleading a team is a prerequisite.
  • Must haveworked in a midsized organization operating on aregional/multinational level preferably in Airlines/Travel/Tourismindustry; experience with lowcost airline would be anadvantage.
  • Knowledge & experience ofapplying IFRS is a prerequisite.
  • Possessescomprehensive knowledge in financial control and accountingfundamentals such as SFAS (Statements of Financial AccountingConcepts).
  • Excellent financial analytical andreporting skills.
  • Proven skills in analyzingdata identifying irregularities and recommending correctivemeasures.
  • Costoriented possesses effectivenegotiation and problemsolving skills.
  • Employsa balance of technical expertise and interpersonal relations tointeract with senior level stakeholders external providers andexternal auditors to support companysobjectives.
