Overallpurpose of role The job holderwill be responsible for Managing the Transaction Operationsfunctions inclusive of the following disciplines of Cash ManagementOperations Client pricing maintenance Corporate revenue recoveryliquidity management new product testing and change management .The Individual would lead and deilver all regulatory changes inUnited Arab Emirates and globally which impact Barclays Bank in theUAE.The role holder will be responsible to ensure that CustomerFocus is key across the functions and ensures that constantimprovement to the processes i.e automation to maintain acompetitive edge over the market practices.

Main duties andresponsibilities

  • LeadRegulatory ( Central bank of UAE ) Change work with allstaekhodlers e.g. compliance product legal Technology andoperations to implement.
  • Manage business and strategic change from a transaction opsperspective .
  • Supportoperations in designing processes for change and also periodicreview to create simple seamless and efficient client experiences.
  • Effectively supportingand contributing to the clients growth agendasupporting clientswith identifying their channel/productneeds.
  • Working closelywith all stakeholders to ensure that all SLAs (Service LevelAgreement) and KPIs are met on a daily/monthlybasis
  • Represent thefunction in different forums locally in the country i.e Changeforum Controls forum New business new products ( Point of contactfor Central bank of UAE ) and globally in wider forums; presentingto senior stakeholders across thebank
  • Ability to conducttraining on front end application ( Online Channels) for internaland external clients
  • Theroles requires to understand the client needs and provide solutionswhich meet the requirement and relay to back office onimplementation
  • Development of controls governance and compliance across thebusiness to implement and coordinate new initiatives andchange.
  • Test new systemsand enhancements with regards to digital channels Cash Managementand Liquidity products and payment operations keeping in mindbusiness scenarios and clientneeds.
  • Planningforecasting development and implementation of Transactionoperations stratergy: people development (across both: Onshore andOffshore teams)
  • Serve asa link between Productcoverage and operationsteams.
  • Effectivelypartner with departments and stakeholders to manage expectationsand drive businessperformance
  • Managing andoverseeing internal control requirements including RCAs (Risk& Control Assessment) Record Management Resilience Planningand ensuring a stringent operational framework in line with Groupand local policies
  • Provide specialised support to various operations teams in handlingspecialised Cash Managementtransactions
  • Ensurecompliance with Sanctions KYC (Know Your Customer) MOS (MinimumOperating Standard)policies
  • Proactivelyvalidate and refine procedures and improve the process environmentperiodically in line with market/bestpractices
  • Innovate andprovide feedback to Cash Product Management team for future productenhancements/ changes based on client interaction and competitoranalysis

BasicQualifications

  • Exposure toboth UAE Central Bank Payments and Clearing systems ( Schemes GCCFTS DDS ICCS WPSNPSS ) as well as International Payments schemeslike Chaps Fedwire Target
  • The role holder shouldhave a good understanding of online banking platforms and be ableto lead end to end client implementation covering different fileformats XML Swift Fileact Bulk files and properitory fileformat
  • Excellentknowledge of different Swift format of messages including customerliquidity messages
  • Goodknowledge of virtual accounts intercompany loans notional poolingand liquidity managementssetups
  • Selfstarter andselfmotivated player able to define structure and prioritisework
  • Project managementskills Thorough knowledge of banking and Cash Management productPayments processing and ISO 20022knowledge
  • Understandingof core banking systems and interface requirements paymentmessage.
  • Exceptionalnumerical and reportingskills
  • Solid and welldefined management skills and leadershipqualities
  • Stronginterpersonal presentation and communication (written and verbal)skills
  • Expert workingknowledge of MS office and ability to multitask and adhere tostrict deadlines
  • Soundknowledge of KYC (Know YourCustomer)/Product
  • Wellversed with requirements and and rules of Local Payments schemes ofUAE
  • Strong analyticaland risk assessment skills Understanding of AML (Anit MoneyLaundering) requirements and escalate suspicious transactions toconcerned superiors
