Responsibilities: Our newest opportunity is for atalented Operations Director to join our award winning team in theUAE. This role is responsible for overseeing aspects of theinternal operations of the Infrastructure Division in directsupport to the Managing Director. You will lead on financialcontrol budgeting resource forecasting and divisional efficiency
Weenvisage success in this role to include:
  • Assistingthe Managing Director in achieving the overall operational andfinancial strategy and performance targets of theDivision.
  • Assisting the Managing Director indefining and ensuring execution of business strategies to optimisethe performance of the business units in terms of delivery to theClient and quality standards in all workoutputs.
  • Working alongside the ManagingDirector and Directors leads regular reviews of project performanceand commercial analysis (working Project ControlsTeam).
  • Assisting the Managing DirectorsInfrastructure Directors and Directors with Business Development onbid analysis and commercial. Seek to identify potential new clientsmarkets and projects. Cultivate client relationships and contributeto the growth of the infrastructure projects portfolioGlobally.
  • Participating in business developmentactivities including tender financial and technical proposalpreparation and presentations.
  • Working withDirectors and Managers continually assesses technical skills versusneeds and implements measures to ensure optimal technicalcapability of the division. Stay current with industry trendsemerging technologies and best practices in infrastructureengineering developing strategies for the implementation newsystems of working.
  • Driving performance throughleading a team of professional employees towards achievement ofstrategic objectives.
  • Identifying appropriatesolutions to complex issues by applying strategic managementtools.
  • Overseeing contract negotiationsmanagement of variation orders disputes andclaims.
  • Developing and seeking to continuallyimprove Project Management tools procedures system andanalysis.
  • Overviews and directs Prepares plansand controls financial budgets and team resources in order todeliver required commercial outcomes.
  • Overviewsand directs complex project programmes and projectcontracts.
  • Ensuring project standards and BMSprocedures are implemented across each of the technical areasinvolved in the project including projectadministration.
  • Analysing existing workprocesses procedures and systems identifying opportunities forincreased efficiencies costeffectiveness and serviceimprovements.
  • Preparing monthly DivisionalPerformance Reports and presents monthly performance to the KEOExecutive and to the Infrastructure Division ManagementTeam
  • Leading a team of professional employeesdriving increased organisational performance and achievement ofteam goals.
  • Ensuring terms of the contract arefollowed and manage scope changes and their effect on delivery ofproject objectives.
  • Responsible forcoordinating business development initiatives QMS implementationand ensure technical delivery of the highest quality across thebusiness units.
  • Responsible in partnership withthe Divisional Directors for technical resource planning recruitingand management to ensure that the technical capabilities of thebranch meet current and future projectneeds.

Qualifications: To be successful in this dynamicopportunity we envision that your career journey to date willinclude at least 15 years of work experience partnered with aBachelor/ Masters degree and will be Chartered Engineer (UK) or PE(USA) with Full Corporate Membership of an Internationallyrecognized professional Institution i.e. C. Eng. M.I.C.E. or P.E.)PMP Certification would be advantageous.
