- journey toward self-discovery andcultivate a deep sense of responsibility.Join our team and be partof an organization that is providing every child with theopportunity to cultivate curiosity, courage, andkindnessRequirementsReporting to the Chief Executive Officer(CEO), the Development Director is responsible for the cultivationand stewardship of individual, grant, foundation, and corporatepipeline and contributing to the overall fundraising goals throughsolicitation of participatory and leadership gifts. Over time, thisnew position will develop a team responsible for growing the numberof new donors and retaining and deepening the relationships withcurrent donors and constituents.Responsibilities:* Develops acomprehensive development andfundraising
- strategy for EDMO that includes butis not limited to individual donors, grant sources, foundations,and corporate partnerships. This will focus on the identificationof new donors and the retention of existing donors. Short-termstrategy (12-18 months) will include goals and measuresdevelopment, donor network identification, and budget implications.Long-term strategic objectives will include solidification of donornetwork, board development strategy, and establishment of afoundation strategy. Securing unrestricted funds and grants forgeneral operating expenses are a priority for this new role.;*Develops a plan for outreach and communication to current donorsand a plan for prospective new donors; manage all contacts in asystematic
- and orderly manner.* Work closelywith the CEO, ED and members of the Communications and Marketingteam to develop collateral and other tools or resources which maybe utilized in fundraising efforts and donor campaigns. Collateralmay be general in nature or customized for targeted purposes.*Creates and maintains a donor portfolio and database with a focuson identification of new high level donors (i.e., $1000+) byconducting phone calls, virtual and in-person visits, andsolicitations.* Works closely with the
