Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support your dedicatedintake team members throughout the prescription lifecycle.
  • Validate information on new patientsdemographics, prescription, benefit verification (MM vs PB) andassign to intake team member
  • Audit the intaketeam’s workflow per intake representative’s jobdescription
  • Communicate with OperationsManager/PIC regarding referral and prescriptionstatus
  • Communicate with Pre Authorization teamsupervisor about Pre authorizationstatus
  • Responsible for keeping staff currentwith payer requirements and RE Pharmacy policy and proceduresrelated to the intake process and software

functions.

  • Understands and adheres to allapplicable company policies and state and federal regulations andensures Intake staff adherence.
  • Work weeklywith other intake supervisors to ensure consistent adherence toprocesses and procedures
  • Identify inefficientprocesses and monitor workload of staff, making recommendations tothe Operations Manager/PIC
  • Participate in andcoordinate training for all new intake staff, review and approvetimecards, assist with performance reviews and quarterlygoals

assessment.

  • Develop comprehensive trainingprogram for intake teams in coordination with other intakesupervisors
  • Communicate clearly andprofessionally, both in written form and orally, with internal andexternal customers
  • Follow up with patient anddoctor reviews both by social media and survey

OtherResponsibilities

  • Review reports daily to identifypatient accounts that are untouched for 48hours
  • Randomly review your team’spatient files for accuracy andexpediency
  • Provide additional training to teamfor uncovered weaknesses
  • Randomly observe teammembers in all aspects of their duties
  • Meetwith Operations Manager/PIC and align goals weekly

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years experiencecollecting referral information in the healthcare market(required)
  • 3 years of experience withSpeciality or Infusion Pharmacy.(preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Managed Care,Commercial Insurance, Medicare and Medicalinsurance
  • Working knowledge of SpecialtyPharmacy laws and regulations
  • Proficient withMicrosoft Office Suite or related software
