RolePurpose The purpose of this roleis to ensure exams operations and supporting resources meetcustomer experience requirements and ensure exams integrity on theground. This role is ultimately responsible for efficient effectiveand compliant Test Day delivery managing cost risk and contingencyon the ground and setting standards developing and managing theperformance of their team. This role willalso provide technical support for all digital devices during examssessions. This includes ensuring that the necessary devices are ingood working order properly set up and ready for exam use. The rolewill need to be on standby during exam sessions and troubleshoot orescalate issues for prompt resolution.MainAccountabilities:

Service Delivery
  • Receivesinstructions and requests from operations manager and organisesgiven resources accordingly (often at short notice) to ensure thatwork is carried out efficiently andeffectively.
  • Adapts workplans where necessary to meet customer expectations.
  • Supervises and monitorsadministration of tests by proctors and supervisors; ensures thattest instructions are accurate and that appropriate testingenvironments aremaintained.
  • Uses a rangeof standardised systems and processes to plan and coordinateeffective timely and cost effective logistical support to enablethe delivery of high quality services to a range of customers(internal and/orexternal).
  • Keeps informedof advancing technology in standardized test administrationcomputerbased testing machine scoring and associatedsoftware.
  • Oversee alloperations at test venues for all exam products. This includes themanagement of all staff the oversight of all procedures and thetroubleshooting of anyproblems.
  • Procures newvenues as per operational capacityrequirements.
Customers/Relationship and stakeholders
  • Takesendtoend accountability for researching and obtaining satisfactoryand timely resolution of complex/escalated customer (internal orexternal) operational complaints and issues coordinating input fromother colleagues/departments/managers as required to doso.
  • Provides routinedirection information and advisement to students and prospectivestudents in regards to testing policies procedures andoutcomes.
  • Develops andmaintains good working relationships within the British Council toenable and facilitate effective and efficient servicedelivery.
  • Develops strongrelationships with British Council owned and managed venues andprovides feedback for improvements as per auditstandards.

Risk andcompliance
  • Uses standardisedprocesses to monitor team/unit compliance with agreed corporaterisk management procedures relevant to service delivery (e.g. childprotection security policies financial protocols antifraudmeasures) to protect the interests of the BC and its customers atall times.
  • Supervisesvenue staff which typically includes recommendations for hiringfiring performance evaluation training work allocation and problemresolution.
  • Ensures thatall test administration is carried out in compliance with relevantuniversity and higher education policies regulations guidelines andstandards.
  • Carry outhealth and safety inspections of British Council exam venues tomeet with corporate and awarding bodyguidelines.

Minimum/essentialRequirements
  • UniversityDegree or relevant working experience for 2 years in a similarenvironment
  • Experience working in Examsenvironment
  • Experience managing operations inExamsenvironment
