MainAccountabilities:

ServiceDelivery

  • Receivesinstructions and requests from operations manager and organisesgiven resources accordingly (often at short notice) to ensure thatwork is carried out efficiently andeffectively.
  • Adapts work plans where necessaryto meet customer expectations.
  • Supervises andmonitors administration of tests by proctors and supervisors;ensures that test instructions are accurate and that appropriatetesting environments are maintained.
  • Uses arange of standardised systems and processes to plan and coordinateeffective, timely and cost effective logistical support to enablethe delivery of high quality services to a range of customers(internal and/or external).
  • Keeps informed ofadvancing technology in standardized test administration,computer-based testing, machine scoring, and associatedsoftware.
  • Oversee all operations at test venuesfor all exam products. This includes the management of all staff,the oversight of all procedures and the troubleshooting of anyproblems.
  • Procures new venues as peroperational capacity requirements.

Customers/ Relationship andstakeholders

  • Takesend-to-end accountability for researching and obtainingsatisfactory and timely resolution of complex/escalated customer(internal or external) operational complaints and issues,coordinating input from other colleagues/departments/managers asrequired, to do so.
  • Provides routine direction,information, and advisement to students and prospective students inregards to testing policies, procedures, andoutcomes.
  • Develops and maintains good workingrelationships within the British Council to enable and facilitateeffective and efficient servicedelivery.
  • Develops strong relationships withBritish Council owned and managed venues and provides feedback forimprovements as per audit standards.

Risk and compliance

  • Uses standardised processes tomonitor team/unit compliance with agreed corporate risk managementprocedures relevant to service delivery (e.g. child protection,security policies, financial protocols, anti-fraud measures) toprotect the interests of the BC and its customers at alltimes.
  • Supervises venue staff which typicallyincludes recommendations for hiring, firing, performanceevaluation, training, work allocation, and problemresolution.
  • Ensures that all testadministration is carried out in compliance with relevantuniversity and higher education policies, regulations, guidelines,and standards.
  • Carry out health and safetyinspections of British Council exam venues to meet with corporateand awarding body guidelines.

Minimum/essentialRequirements-

  • University Degree or relevant workingexperience for 2 years in a similarenvironment
  • Experience working in Examsenvironment
  • Experience managing operations inExams environment

DesirableRequirements-

  • Knowledge of British Council Qualityand Compliance policy
  • Experience administeringSchool Exams
