About theJob:

An opportunity has arisenfor a Junior Sommelier to join the F&B Team in Burj Al ArabJumeirah. The main duties and responsibilities of thisrole:

  • Support theSommelier in offering guests a world-class wineexperience.
  • Provide a friendly, courteous andprofessional service to guests and colleagues.
  • Ensure the wine list is up to date withcorrect vintages and prices.
  • Ensure all thewines are stored properly in the cellar.
  • Ensuremise-en-place and correct stock levels of wine are in place beforeeach service.
  • Support sales and ensure relevantand appropriate suggestions for wine.
  • Ensure100% contribution to LQA and Forbesstandards.
  • Report feedback and suggestions tothe Sommelier and Outlet manager.



Aboutyou:

The ideal candidate forthis position will have the following experience andqualifications:

  • A minimumof 1 year of experience in a similar role in a luxury 5-star hotelor a restaurant.
  • WSET Level-2 or equivalentdegree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products,Micros and Sevenrooms.
  • Clear and effectivecommunication skills in English, proficiency in at least one of thefollowing languages preferred: Arabic, Chinese, Russian or anyEuropean language.
