Your RoleAnd Responsibilities

The EnergyIndustries global division (GD) drives growth for customers acrossthe energy industry, supporting safe, efficient, and profitableoperations with strong global execution capacity, an extensiveservice footprint and capabilities, and innovative digitalleadership. The GD focuses on providing various integratedelectrification, automation, instrumentation &telecommunication & digital solutions to the changingcustomer demands, raising up to their expectations andsatisfaction. The India, Middle East & Africa region (IMEA)HUB has been always the focus for the global division of PAEN interms of establishing footprints in new territories and has beenpart of various strategic initiatives of ABB Group. You will beworking as HUB Project Execution Manager and will be a part of theProcess Industries Business for Energy industries (PAEN) division.In this role, you will be specifically responsible at HUB (region)level for the following activities: 1. Training, coaching,development of Project Managers and Site Managers includingcertifications (FCA - Functional competency assessment) as per theglobal process, to meet current and future demands. 2. Make sureABB PM process implementation and compliance is adhered to by thelocal divisions. Best practice sharing amongst the HUB PM communityand implementing lessons-learnt from audits, loss projects andreviews. 3. Roll out of global division initiatives related to theProject Management function, including tracking the requiredoutcomes. Make sure data reported from the HUB are accurate in theplatforms and tools available. Above activities shall be aligned tooverseeing delivery of projects to customers that meet definedspecifications, schedule, and budget covering all countries (Localdivisions & cluster countries) covered under IMEA HUB. Youwill also be responsible for implementation of Integrated andharmonized management system covering PM process, tools, standardsand templates (IMS). You will be responsible for leading theimplementation of continuous improvements (agile) for projectexecution tools and strategy across the entire HUB, includingproject execution at local division levels. You will oversee andguide the project execution teams both across the HUB and locally,ensuring consistent adherence to ABB policies. You will develop,customize, and improve standard processes and work instructions byadopting ABB and external best practices. You will superviseproject execution and performance management through projectreviews with management and Project Managers, ensuring contractfulfillment. You will actively resolve escalated issues,particularly those raised by customers. You will ensure that theportfolio of projects adheres to execution practices in line withGlobal division and HUB governance, guidelines, and instructions,and that projects are closed according to contractual obligationsand budgeted parameters. You will ensure that projects consistentlyapply contract and claims management in accordance with ABBpolicies, guidelines, and instructions to secure ABB'srights. You will minimize contractual risks and maximize theconversion of opportunities through effective contract and claimsmanagement and best practices. You will build and maintainrelationships with key internal and external stakeholders. You willoversee competency assessments and ensure that project staff areappropriately licensed and certified. You will lead and coach theproject execution teams to achieve business objectives, drivingefficiency and effectiveness, and improving cash flow, revenue, andprofitability. You will define the organization of the project incoordination with the Project Manager. You will embodyABB's core values (ABB Way) of safety and integrity, takingresponsibility for your own actions while caring for yourcolleagues and the business. Qualifications ForThe Role

  • You have a Bachelor's degreein Engineering with a focus on electrical, electronics, andinstrumentation and control. You have a demonstrated track recordin project execution activities, with a minimum of 15 years ofexperience, and have established skills in project management inthe Systems business for at least 10 years. You are ABB CertifiedSPM, PM, or PMP certified.
  • You are highlyskilled in communication and presentation, and you enjoy workingwith relevant tools and methodologies in the Systems businessmarket. You are at ease communicating in English and possess anenhanced knowledge of industry-specificplatforms.
  • You are immersed in the intricaciesof project management and are captivated by innovativeproblem-solving and effective team leadership. Your provenexperience and passion for excellence make you a standout candidatefor advanced project managementroles.
