About the Role

This position reports to the Hub Division Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing the execution of projects across the Energy Industries global division. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Process Industries Business team, driving growth and profitability through effective project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project management processes and best practices across the HUB, ensuring compliance with global division guidelines and instructions.
  • Train, coach, and develop Project Managers and Site Managers, including certifications and competency assessments.
  • Roll out global division initiatives related to project management, tracking outcomes and ensuring data accuracy in platforms and tools.
  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvements (agile) for project execution tools and strategy across the entire HUB.
  • Oversee and guide project execution teams, ensuring consistent adherence to ABB policies and procedures.
  • Develop, customize, and improve standard processes and work instructions, adopting ABB and external best practices.
  • Supervise project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and Project Managers.
  • Actively resolve escalated issues, particularly those raised by customers.
  • Ensure that the portfolio of projects adheres to execution practices in line with Global division and HUB governance, guidelines, and instructions.
  • Minimize contractual risks and maximize the conversion of opportunities through effective contract and claims management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and coach project execution teams to achieve business objectives, driving efficiency and effectiveness, and improving cash flow, revenue, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on electrical, electronics, and instrumentation and control.
  • Demonstrated track record in project execution activities, with a minimum of 15 years of experience, and established skills in project management in the Systems business for at least 10 years.
  • ABB Certified SPM, PM, or PMP certified.
  • Highly skilled in communication and presentation, with experience working with relevant tools and methodologies in the Systems business market.
  • Enhanced knowledge of industry-specific platforms and ability to communicate in English.
