InternationalCommunity Schools Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate dedicated anddynamic Preschool Manager to lead our preschoolteam responsible for overseeing theoperations and administration of a nursery in Abu Dhabi. They playa crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the facilitymanaging staff and providing a highquality care and educationalenvironment for children. The manager will oversee the nurseryspolicies and procedures handle admissions and enrollment andmaintain positive relationships with parents and stakeholders. Theywill lead and support the nursery staff monitor curriculumimplementation and ensure compliance with regulations. Strongleadership skills excellent communication abilities and a passionfor early childhood education are essential for this role. KeyResponsibilities: Oversee the overall operations and management ofthe nursery. Develop and implement policies and procedures for thenursery. Manage the admissions process including enrollment andregistration. Supervise and support nursery staff providingguidance and training as needed. Ensure compliance with relevantregulations and licensing requirements. Maintain a safe inclusiveand engaging environment for children. Monitor curriculumimplementation and educational programs. Collaborate with parentsto address concerns and provide updates on their childs progress.Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders andexternal agencies. Manage budgets financial records and resourceseffectively. Stay updated with industry trends and best practicesin early childhood education. Handle administrative tasks such asscheduling record keeping andreporting.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Visionand Strategy: Develop andimplement a clear vision for the preschool aligned with the schools overall mission and values. Set strategic goals and objectivesfor the preschool and ensure theirachievement.
  • TeamLeadership: Lead mentor andmotivate a diverse team of early childhood educators and supportstaff. Promote a positive inclusive and collaborative teamculture.
  • PerformanceManagement: Conduct regularperformance reviews provide constructive feedback and createprofessional development plans to ensure continuous growth andimprovement amongstaff.
  • DecisionMaking: Make informed decisionson curriculum design staff allocation and resource management toenhance the quality of education and careprovided.
  • CurriculumDevelopment: Design implementand evaluate a comprehensive playbased curriculum that supports thecognitive social emotional and physical development of childrenaged 35 years. Ensure the curriculum aligns with internationalstandards and best practices in early childhoodeducation.
  • EducationalInnovation: Integrate the latesteducational research theories and technologies into the curriculum.Foster an environment that encourages creativity critical thinkingand problemsolving skills in younglearners.
  • Assessmentand Reporting: Implementeffective assessment methods to monitor and report on children sprogress. Use assessment data to inform teaching strategies andindividualized learningplans.
  • DailyOperations: Oversee the dailyoperations of the preschool including scheduling staff assignmentsclassroom management and resource allocation. Ensure that thepreschool runs smoothly andefficiently.
  • Healthand Safety: Develop implementand regularly review policies and procedures to ensure a safesecure and healthy environment for children and staff. Conductregular safety drills andinspections.
  • RegulatoryCompliance: Ensure that thepreschool complies with all local and international regulations andstandards including those related to health safety staffqualifications and childprotection.
  • FinancialManagement: Prepare and managethe preschool s budget including forecasting expense tracking andfinancial reporting. Ensure that resources are allocatedeffectively and that the preschool operates within its financialmeans.
  • ParentCommunication: Build andmaintain strong positive relationships with parents and caregivers.Provide regular updates on their child s progress address anyconcerns and offer guidance on supporting their child s developmentathome.
  • FamilyInvolvement: Organize andfacilitate events workshops and meetings to engage families in thepreschool community. Encourage active participation andcollaboration between parents and theschool.
  • CommunityPartnerships: Establish andmaintain partnerships with local organizations educationalinstitutions and community groups to enhance the preschool sprograms andresources.
  • HolisticDevelopment: Ensure that allaspects of a child s development emotional social cognitive andphysical are nurtured and supported. Create an environment thatpromotes positive behavior selfesteem and a love oflearning.
  • IndividualizedSupport: Identify and supportchildren with diverse needs including those with specialeducational needs and disabilities (SEND). Collaborate with parentsspecialists and educators to develop and implement individualizededucation plans (IEPs) wherenecessary.
  • Wellbeingand Safety: Promote thewellbeing of all children by ensuring that safeguarding and childprotection policies are strictly followed. Address any concernsregarding child welfare promptly andeffectively.
  • StaffTraining: Develop and implementa comprehensive professional development program for all preschoolstaff. Encourage continuous learning and provide opportunities forstaff to attend workshops courses andconferences.
  • QualityAssurance: Regularly review andassess the quality of teaching learning and care in the preschool.Implement improvement plans based on feedback from staff parentsand externalevaluations.
  • Innovationand Best Practices: Stayinformed about the latest trends and developments in earlychildhood education. Lead initiatives to incorporate best practicesand innovative approaches into the preschool sprograms.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • EducationalBackground:
    • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development EducationalLeadership or a related field is required. A Master s degree in arelevant field is stronglypreferred.
  • Relevantcertifications or qualifications in nursery management or educationleadership. Proven experience in a managerial role in a nursery orearly childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of earlychildhood education principles and practices. Excellent leadershipcommunication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop andimplement policies and procedures. Experience in staff managementand training. Familiarity with regulatory requirements andlicensing standards. Strong organizational and administrativeabilities. Passion for providing quality care and education toyoung children. Fluency in English both written andspoken.
