Primus Workforce

We are a growing and dynamic company to work with providing the key to your future success. This position is based out of Grande Prairie, AB and operates on a 14 day on 7 day off schedule.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Build and arm perforating strings (inspection and verification of gun related equipment);
Drives company pickups that may be pulling trailers according to the rules and regulations of governing transportation guidelines and policy and procedures;
Under direct supervision, the Wireline Operator will be involved in the preparation of the unit and calibration of equipment;
Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor safely, efficiently according to established standards, policies and guidelines;
Rig up and rig down wireline equipment and pressure control equipment;
Under direct supervision, the Wireline Operator will redresses tools in the shop and in the field;
Assists the supervisor in the troubleshooting of too, equipment and truck problems;
Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools and equipment;
Other duties as assigned by the reporting Manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
Some Wireline training (an asset);
Explosives Safety (preferred);
Basic Electronic knowledge;
Willingness to learn and grow;
Ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written English instructions and effectively communicate information to others;
Basic math skills (additions, subtraction, multiplication and division);
Ability to think quickly and apply problem solving skills to situations as they come up in the field;
Ability to work in a positive team environment;
Ability to work with hand and power tools;
Mechanical aptitude;
Ability to operate independently;
Ability to champion a company safety culture.
Work Conditions:
Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70 pounds);
Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather;
Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week;
Exposure to high noise over 85 dba;
Working with explosives.
Qualifications:
Results from a pre-employment test;
5 years drivers abstract;
