Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Project Office as the Project Office Head at Synergy University Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the university's project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives, and driving successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution across the university.
  • Lead the Project Office team in defining project objectives, requirements, and deliverables, and developing comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate with department heads, project managers, and stakeholders to identify project priorities, resource requirements, and dependencies, and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, communicating updates and status reports to senior management and stakeholders as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and standards, and provide guidance and support to project managers and teams as needed.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations to provide updates, gather feedback, and address issues and concerns.
  • Manage project budgets and expenses, tracking costs and expenditures against approved budgets and making adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct project post-mortem reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment within the Project Office, promoting open communication, teamwork, and professional development.

  • Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully leading and managing complex projects and initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as PMBOK, Agile, or PRINCE2.
  • Proficiency in English (required) and Russian (preferred).
