Head of Events Operations

Breakdown event strategy into actionable high-level items
Orchestrate the planning and execution of the strategy for each event
Determine and present event goals and implement comprehensive strategies aligned with company strategy and objectives.
Identify complexities, set deadlines, and allocate resources for each event
Develop and maintain detailed event workflows and timelines, ensuring that all departments are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and managers to ensure seamless event execution.
Ensure the budget is managed effectively
Ensure contracts and service agreements are finalized on time
Oversee negotiations of contracts with venues, vendors, and entertainers to secure services that meet quality and budgetary requirements.
Oversee all aspects of event planning, and logistics, including budgeting, contracts, timelines, and resource allocation.
Regularly communicate and share event progress to C-suite
Act as a central point of contact for all event-related matters and facilitate effective communication between teams.
Prepare post-event reports - analyse the outcome of the event, and set new strategic plans based on conclusions.
Develop, nurture, and sustain a high-performance working events team, manage their employment
Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensure legal requirement associated with events.
Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting
Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for each event and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
Proven experience of at least 3 years in event planning and operations, preferably in the fintech industry.
5+ years of experience in Team Management
Great leadership skills, as this position requires collaborating, motivating, and engaging team members without micromanaging.
Proven experience in event planning and operations, preferably in the fintech or financial industry.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Great attention to detail, punctual, dynamic, self – driven and highly analytical professional.
High level knowledge of MS Excel (functions like VLOOKUP / SUMIF etc.)
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
Excellent command of English (both verbal & written).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Great organizational skills with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility to travel as required for events.
