This is a technical rolethat is vital to the success of an ITOM ServiceNow implementation. You should be able to establish a firm process governance model that defines, measures, and monitors best practices in CMDB Administration.Key AccountabilitiesActs as a Servant leader & creates autonomous TeamEnsures consistencies across requirements for the processes managedDesign and Implement the process that will use discovery tools to capture IT Systems which will populate the Configuration Management Database to be used as a primary source of truth for enterprise data.Maintains the governance, policies, and strategy of the CMDBMaintains the integrity of the CMDB and Discovery processesWorks closely with Asset Management and ITSM teamsIdentify improvements with consumers of data whose processes interact with the CMDBReview CI quality with owners of dataParticipate in weekly CAB meetings and ensure CMDB data is part of all changes and is driving positive Change ManagementEstablish and maintain naming style/ conventions for CI’s to be managed / controlledOwn and manage the process of relationships created in the CMDB promoting best practices for key IT and Business services and applications to all configuration itemsQualifications7+ Years of Experience in SDLC or Service Management and at least 3 years of extensive specialization in a expertise area.Understanding business applications and their functionality in the ITIL modelComprehension of and the ability to communicate and implement the ITIL CMDB modelAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders to ensure an effective CMDB that adheres to governance standardsBroad general knowledge of IT infrastructure topology including typical application, server, and networking configurationsComprehension of the ServiceNow CMDB modelAbility to communicate and implement the ITIL CMDB Model2+ years overall experience with ServiceNow ITOM5+ years overall experience in an IT Service Management roleThe following training and/or related certifications are desirable:ServiceNow FundamentalsServiceNow Discovery FundamentalsITILv4 Foundations
