Group Commercial Performance Director

Our client, a leading Insurance brokerage firm is looking to hire a Group Commercial Performance Director to join their team in Dubai, UAE. We are looking for dynamic commercial experts who have the capability to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive commercial strategy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Group Chief Commercial Officer to develop, refine and execute the organization's commercial strategy, aligning it with overarching business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Develop and manage a set of performance metrics and KPIs to regularly monitor the effectiveness of all commercial initiatives and performance. Provide regular reports and insights to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, assess potential partnerships, and support the acquisition of new clients.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline commercial processes and systems, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all commercial activities.
  • Manage escalations when required and be the key point of contact for any technical client and/or insurers queries and matters.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of commercial projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to project goals, and successful implementation.
  • Evaluate the portfolio to assess performance, profitability, and alignment with strategic goals. Recommend adjustments or changes as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis, including competitor assessments, customer trends, and industry insights, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Devise and evaluate effective incentive structures that align with the Company's goals and objectives. This includes determining how commercial performance is measured, setting clear and achievable targets, and establishing the compensation and reward mechanisms.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and initiatives to continually upskill the sales team including Retention and GI teams. Provide guidance on sales techniques, knowledge, and effective sales methodologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales/marketing, economics, industry qualified. MBA or an advanced degree preferable.
  • Over 10 years experience in commercial or business leadership roles in Insurance Industry in Middle East.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth.
  • Expert knowledge and experience of health insurance products, policies, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and competitive positioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and partners.
  • Familiarity with diverse sales channels, such as B2B, B2C.
  • Previous experience in managing and leading teams.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Deep understanding of the local and regional health insurance market.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute a commercial strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Sales and marketing expertise: Strong experience in business development, sales techniques, marketing strategies, and customer acquisition.
  • Leadership: Effective leadership skills to motivate and guide team members.
  • Financial acumen: Understanding of financial metrics, budgeting, and profit margin analysis.
