The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) is an Arab regional organization based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Its main objective is laying monetary foundations of Arab economic integration and accelerating the process of economic development in all Arab Countries.

The Strategic Project Manager spearheads and oversees strategic initiatives within the AMF's Strategy Unit. This role requires close collaboration with senior leadership to provide adept project management guidance and ensure the successful execution of key initiatives aligned with AMF's strategic objectives and principles. The Strategic Project Manager’s role is instrumental in propelling the department's strategic agenda forward, ensuring timely delivery, and fostering cohesive collaboration among various teams and stakeholders.

Duties

  • Strategic Planning: Develop effective action plans to realize the AMF's strategic objectives. This includes data analysis, resource estimation, and timeline establishment to ensure streamlined and timely goal achievement.
  • Plan Execution: Execute action plans in tandem with AMF departments and work teams. Continuously monitor progress and suggest requisite actions to accomplish desired outcomes.
  • Strategic Objective Development: Collaborate with organizational units and work teams to develop and update the AMF's strategic objectives based on current analyses and anticipated future challenges.
  • Communication & Coordination: Promote communication and coordination among diverse departments and work teams, fostering alignment, harmony, and complementary efforts, facilitating seamless strategic plan implementation.
  • Change Management: Support change processes related to strategy implementation. Cultivate a culture of strategic execution underpinned by innovation and creative ideation.
  • Performance Monitoring & Evaluation: Routinely monitor and assess project and initiative performance to gauge progress toward strategic objectives. Undertake corrective measures as necessary and develop and deliver training programs and awareness workshops to enhance comprehension of the significance of change and equip teams to manage it adeptly.
  • Reporting: Gather and analyze data concerning strategy implementation to gauge progress and identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) aspects. Compile periodic reports outlining strategy implementation progress, attained outcomes, and encountered challenges.
  • Risk Management & Performance Improvement: Identify and monitor potential risks that might impede strategy execution. Pinpoint areas for improvement and implement best practices to augment the attainment of strategic objectives.
  • Consulting & Guidance: Offer consultancy and guidance to senior management and organizational units on best practices and strategies for realizing AMF's strategic objectives.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and learning within the department. This encompasses documenting best practices and lessons learned and disseminating pertinent information to team members across the department and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Strategic Planning, Project Management). Master is preferred.
  • Preference given to candidates with a professional or academic qualification in strategic planning, project management, or other.
  • Minimum of (7) years of experience in managing strategy execution or project management, preferably with a strategic focus, in a reputable organization.

  • Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Aptitude for functioning effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Robust leadership and negotiation capabilities, including the capacity to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
