Sustainability Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Manager to join a dynamic team in Dubai. As a leading industrial manufacturing company, our client is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies: Design and execute comprehensive sustainability programs and initiatives aligned with the company’s vision and goals. This includes identifying areas for improvement, setting targets, and establishing metrics to measure progress.
• Environmental compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations, permits, and certifications. Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, such as carbon emissions, energy consumption, waste generation, and water usage.
• Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and local communities to promote sustainable practices and foster environmental stewardship. Establish effective communication channels to educate and engage stakeholders on sustainability initiatives.
• Resource efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency and minimize waste throughout the manufacturing process. Implement measures to reduce energy consumption, optimize water usage, and promote recycling and waste reduction.
• Sustainability reporting: Prepare regular sustainability reports and disclosures, including gathering and analyzing data, to track progress towards sustainability goals. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve sustainability performance.
• Innovation and research: Stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and regulations. Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions and technologies that align with the company’s sustainability objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in sustainability management, preferably within the industrial manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and reporting frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives.
• Proficiency in analyzing sustainability data and preparing comprehensive reports.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Sustainability certifications such as LEED, ISO 14001, or equivalent are highly desirable.
