The Expo City Technology (ECT) department has been established as a business enabler for Expo City Dubai. The department will focus on providing all technology services to Expo City Dubai.The ECT team will focus on the following key areas:Development of enterprise solutionsNetwork servicesTechnology support services (including AV technologies)Security technology systems and servicesCyber SecurityThe Agile and Enterprise Development team is tasked development of software and applications to ensure a smooth and efficient operation to meet the Expo City Dubai needs as well as provide customer facing solutions.

Opportunity Responsibilities

The purpose of the Senior Developer role is to coordinate the development of new solutions and execution of changes and enhancements to existing solutions in support of business requirements. The role holder will work closely with business analysts and project managers to understand and prioritise the business requirements and help convert them to effective digital solutions.

The main responsibilities for this role include: 

Operational Responsibilities

  • Assess business requirements and provide the necessary estimates for the development efforts.
  • Analyse the impact of business requirements, highlighting any potential risks or issues, and providing recommendations where required.
  • Prioritize the requirements with the support of the project manager and the business and complete the development of projects according to their agreed priority.
  • Support, maintain and enhance applications to enable effective operations (bug fixes, application support, etc.)
  • Review and deliver end-user documentation (user guides, process flow charts, training material) and deliver training where required.
  • Monitor the quality of solutions delivered and ensure they meet agreed standards in terms of performance and reliability.
  • Monitor compliance with agreed methodologies and standards and take necessary corrective action in case of deviations.
Skills

5-6+ years of relevant experience as well as:

  • Hands on design and in-depth development experience in  Microsoft  Dynamics
  • Hands on design and in-depth development experience in Microsoft .NET technologies including C ASP NET MVC Web API Entity Framework and LINQ
  • Experience in Sitecore 9 Certification development and working experience on Sitecore 9 Azure PaaS ReactJS Solid programming
  • Experience with version control systems GIT
  • Experience creating and consuming web services including REST JSON
  • Familiarity with integration to ERP CRM DAM and other backend systems
  • Familiarity with and ability to utilize Sitecore DLLs within an MVC project to manage data within the Sitecore CMS and multiple back end systems
  • Ability to design and implement complex workflows within Sitecore
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple initiatives at once to meet deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
