Provide engagement and advisory support to the front office and business finance teams on capital mattersParticipation in reviews and assessments of transactions and wider strategic considerationsParticipation in capital transactions, including capital debt issuanceResponsible for assisting in the preparation of capital plans for HNAH, HUSI and HBUSResponsible for assisting in the ongoing update and monitoring of the capital position of HNAH, HUSI and HBUS and ensure the implementation of capital management within HNAH is in line with all current and new regulatory rules and aligned with Group and regional strategyParticipation in the preparation and review of documentation and reports for the key HNAH governance committees for capital management and stress testingResponsible for building and maintaining a detailed understanding and ongoing review of all US and global regulatory rules and to assist in the impact assessment for HNAH and its subsidiariesPreparation of components of the annual capital plan submission for CCAR/DFASTPreparation of capital planning information for the internal annual operating plan, periodic updates and other strategic analysisActive participation in the wider capital planning and stress testing process, including HNAH capital contingency and recovery planning work as necessaryAs our Vice President Capital Planning, HNAH you will:Customers / StakeholdersRequired to work and liaise closely, with the wider Finance function, Risk and other internal functionsCoordination between the global functions and businesses in HNAH and the wider GroupPreparation of presentations for internal and external audiences and regulatorsLiaison and coordination with Group on capital management reporting and deliverablesOperational Effectiveness & ControlMaintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurringMaintenance and monitoring of HNAH’s governance and control procedures for capital planning and adherence to Group’s policies and standards in GSM and FIMsMonitoring and ensuring compliance with HNAH and Group capital planning and all other policiesComplete other responsibilities, as assignedManagement of RiskEnsure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issuesObservation of Internal ControlsMaintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulatorsFor this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $141,300.00 and $211,900.00.The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.At HSBC, our overall goal is to provide a competitive Total Reward Package, with an appropriate mix of fixed pay, and variable pay, as part of an employee’s overall total compensation and benefits.
