Key Duties and Responsibilities:Plan the various development activities by conducting a training needs analysis and preparing the 6-month Learning & Development Plan according to the Managing Colleague Development process.Implement the Learning & Development plan by conducting or overseeing the rollout of various Off-job training programmes.Review the success of Learning and Development plan by using various metrics to monitor and evaluate the ‘Return of Expectations’ of the development programmes i.e. colleague satisfaction survey, guest satisfaction survey, mystery guest report, financial figures, retention rate, accreditation results, etc.Organize and conduct new colleagues’ on-boarding activities as per guidelines.Develop the Departmental Training team by providing the required accreditation, organizing on-going meetings, and coaching them in the preparation and implementation of their 6-month Learning & Development plans.Maintain the required attendance/certification percentage of all Off-Job Training programmes.Monitor the quality of On-Job training by attending departmental training sessions and giving feedback on performance.Monitor the quality of performance certification for new joiners.Ensure relevant departments have up to date Standard Of Performance (SOP) manuals. Guide and coach in the production of the same.Carry out departmental Learning & Development standard reviews with each Departmental Training Coordinator in line with guidelines.Compile the Learning & Development department’s budget according to the business needs.Compile and follow-up on the action plan resulting from the hotel Learning & Development Standards Review, conducted every year by the Corporate Office.Conduct or outsource development activities for the managerial level according to needs identified in the performance reviews or operational requirements.Produce the monthly Learning & Development calendar and report within the agreed deadlines.Use the company’s communication channels to update and communicate information.Maintain the Colleague Development Records of the management team.Manage various development activities such as cross-training, hosting interns, and where applicable.Recruit Interns and External Trainees in line with the company policy.Establish a library of books, videos, journals, and audio-visual materials to assist trainers in their training programmes and for the colleagues’ personal development.Champion Learning Management System and ensure all colleagues undergo mandatory learning programmes across hotelsDrive a culture of learning by creating innovative learning programmes across various levels of managementBe the custodian of designing on-boarding programmes for management level positionsDrive colleague engagement activities on a timely basisAssist the colleagues those enrolled in career development programme in crafting their individual learning plans.Constantly coach and guide the learning and engagement team for their self-developmentClosely monitor the training expenses and ensure the learning and engagement programmes are well maintained within the budget allotted.Identify and advise Area DHR with new market trends related to learning systems, programmes and strategy.Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy, and high standard of social skills.Always display a pleasant manner and positive attitude and promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.Always adhere to Company and Hotel rules and regulations.Education/Skills Required:Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalentProven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similarCurrent knowledge of effective learning and development methodsFamiliarity with e-learning platforms and practicesExperience in project management and budgetingProficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)Excellent communicationYas Plaza Hotels by Aldar Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.We celebrate all forms of diversity and remain committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all applicants and employees.
