The Senior IT Pillar Specialist will be responsible to setup and configure projects & programs based on business demand/needs and accountable for successful delivery and support of these projects & programs in McDermott global environment. The Senior IT Pillar Specialist is expected to be a good communicator and capable of interfacing effectively with the team and end users. Additionally, must possess a strong hands-on experience on technical platforms and the ability to effectively collaborate with technical staff, understand threats, risk mitigation and technical controls.Responsibilities:
Support/Alignment between corporate and regional strategies – Construction & Fabrication focusMaintain relationships with key corporate and area Construction & Fabrication CM usersIdentify business technology / automation demands & needsInitiate new projects/programs to base on business demand/needs and accountable for successful delivery of these projects & programsComply with IT project execution methodology and controls for the implementation life cycle including requirements, design, build and configure, test, train, deploy and support productionCollaborate with global project teams, schedule and lead project meetings, testing and trainingOnboard and manage 3rd party project teams when necessaryCollaborate with other IT Pillars and operational support teams for project delivery and issue resolutionAlign with business & IT leadership on vision, goals and strategyCommunicate project status / support status to all stakeholdersMust be an IT SME in process & technical knowledge of Construction & Fabrication processesKnowledge of key Engineering processes is a plus
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology5-10 years IT experience in Hexagon SmartPlant Foundation and related applications in Energy/ O&G Industry preferably in the EPCI sectorExtensive configuration experience on SmartPlant Foundation, Smart Data Validator and Smart ConstructionMust have experience in Oracle and MSSQL RDBMSAdditional experience in integration of Hexagon authoring toolsMust be able to work with end users and gather requirements and provide solutions independentlyWritten and spoken communication skills are criticalAbility to work as a team member as well as act as team leaderHave knowledge of industry engineering systems such as Smart 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, etc.Have knowledge of reporting and integration tools such as PowerBIMaintain key competencies associated with the IT function such as document managementExcellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
