Job Summary

The Senior Manager – Projects is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of strategic and operational projects within the Everyday Goods (Supermarket) division. This role ensures that all projects are aligned with organizational objectives, delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with UAE regulatory requirements. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve business growth and operational excellence.

Accountabilities

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic & Project Leadership:

• Develop and implement project management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, ensuring scope, quality, timelines, and budget compliance.
• Define project objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve issues proactively.
• Drive adoption of best practices in project governance, reporting, and documentation.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire project managers and coordinators.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and training to enhance team skills.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure projects adhere to company policies, regulatory standards, and statutory requirements in the UAE.
• Partner with finance, procurement, and legal teams to ensure proper governance in contracts and budgets.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with senior management, department heads, and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Liaise with government and regulatory authorities for necessary approvals and compliance.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor project performance, resource allocation, and budget utilization.
• Present project updates, progress reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and PMO.
• Introduce innovative tools and techniques to improve efficiency and project outcomes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (mandatory). Master's degree in business administration or project management (preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management or related fields. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Proven track record of delivering retail/
  supermarket
  or FMCG-related projects in large organizations in the UAE or GCC.
• Experience in setting up and improving project management frameworks.
• Fluency in English is mandatory (spoken, written, and technical). Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent preferred. Agile/Scrum Master certification (advantageous).
