About the Role

A high-growth fintech is seeking a senior Product Leader to own the full product vision, roadmap, and execution across a powerful suite of payment products. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, user experience, payments infrastructure, and cross-functional leadership — ideal for someone who has scaled fintech or payment solutions and is ready to shape a product used by thousands of merchants.

You will work across payment links, invoicing, Tap-to-Pay, multi-currency payments, merchant tools, payouts, and the core payment engine powering the business. The goal: build simple, secure, scalable products that help SMEs, freelancers, e-commerce sellers, and service businesses get paid effortlessly.

Role Purpose

As Head of Product, you will define the long-term product strategy, prioritise the roadmap, and guide the end-to-end delivery of key payment experiences. You'll translate merchant needs into high-impact features, collaborate closely with design and engineering, and ensure products are shipped with quality, scalability, and regulatory compliance in mind.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 4+ years of leadership, mentoring, coaching a team/squad
• 8–12+ years in product management, with at least 3–5 years in fintech, payments, or payment infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems: payment links, digital wallets, card networks, payouts, onboarding, compliance, multi-currency, and cross-border payment flows.
• Proven ability to ship payment or fintech products end-to-end.
• Data-driven decision maker comfortable with experimentation, analytics, segmentation, and iterative optimisation.
• Strong UX and product-design sensibility.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Stakeholder management experience at senior or executive level.
• High merchant empathy - especially towards SMEs and small businesses.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in scaling fintech or payment products inside a startup/scale-up.
• Exposure to global/mobile payments, multi-currency or cross-border systems.
• Experience with API-first payment platforms, webhooks, SDKs, and merchant integrations.
• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks in UAE/GCC/MENA.
• Prior leadership/management of a product team.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define and communicate a clear long-term product vision aligned with market opportunities and growth goals.

Roadmap Ownership

• Build and prioritise a roadmap covering payment links, Tap-to-Pay, invoicing, payouts, multi-currency/cross-border flows, merchant dashboards, and integrations.

Merchant & Market Insight

• Build deep empathy for SMEs and merchants, gather feedback, analyse market trends, and turn insights into actionable product evolution.

Feature Definition & Delivery

• Partner with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Support to define product specs and ensure on-time, high-quality feature delivery.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Work across engineering, compliance, operations, growth, marketing, and customer success to ensure product reliability, scalability, and compliance.

Monetisation & Pricing

• Define and optimise pricing, fee structures, payout models, premium features, and value-added services.

Growth & Scaling

• Drive product adoption, GMV/TPV growth, retention, and merchant satisfaction across multiple markets.

Product Performance & Analytics

• Own key metrics: activation, retention, ARPU, churn, GMV/TPV, funnel performance.
• Use data to iterate, improve, and validate product decisions.

Team Leadership

• Build and mentor a high-performing product team (PMs, UX, product operations), while working closely with senior leadership.
