Job Title: General Accountant – F&B (with Own visa)

Location: Bellarium Italian Restaurant, Boulevard Downtown, Dubai

Employment Details

  • Working Hours: 8 hours per day
  • Day Off: 1 day per week
  • Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable up to 2 years)
  • Visa Status: Candidate must hold their own visa initially (company sponsorship provided after 6 months)

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finance

  • Maintain accurate and updated financial records for the restaurant.
  • Record daily accounting entries including revenue, expenses, petty cash, and journal vouchers.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets.
  • Manage bank reconciliations, supplier payments, and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and handle periodic VAT submissions.
  • Support internal and external audits when required.

Accounts Payable & Purchasing

  • Verify supplier invoices and match them with purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Maintain supplier ledgers and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to manage cost control and supplier performance.
  • Reconcile inventory purchases with storekeepers and cost controllers.

Payroll & HR Support

  • Process monthly payroll accurately, including attendance, overtime, and deductions.
  • Prepare WPS files and coordinate salary transfers with HR.
  • Maintain employee files, leave records, and related HR documentation in compliance with UAE labor law.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees and ensure completion of finance-related HR formalities.

Systems & Reporting

  • Operate and update accounting systems (including POS, inventory, and payroll integrations).
  • Generate management reports for cost control, budget analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience in the F&B or hospitality sector (UAE experience preferred).
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of UAE labor law, payroll processing, and the WPS system.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
