We are looking for a proactive and skilled Jr. IT Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first line of support for our internal staff, ensuring that our hardware, software, and networks run smoothly. We are looking for someone who has moved past the "trainee" phase and has at least two years of hands-on experience troubleshooting real-world technical issues.

1. IT Support & Troubleshooting:

· Provide L1 and L2 technical support to employees via helpdesk tickets, email, or in-person.

· Troubleshoot hardware (laptops, printers, peripherals) and software issues effectively.

2. Network Administration:

· Assist in the maintenance of local networks (LAN/WAN/WiFi). Handle basic cabling, patching, and switch configuration.

· Troubleshoot connectivity issues (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

3. Software Management:

· Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows/MacOS) and business applications.

· Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Office 365.

4. Onboarding:

· Prepare workstations for new hires, ensuring all necessary software and network access are configured prior to their start date.

5. Maintenance:

· Perform routine system maintenance, manage IT inventory (asset tracking), and ensure security patches are up to date.

Work Environment & Schedule:

Based in Dubai, providing support to 2 attraction locations.

6-day work week with flexibility for weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, or Desktop Support role.
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional) are a strong plus.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of network fundamentals (IP addressing, Subnetting, VLANs, VPNs) and experience troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • OS & Software: proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint). Familiarity with MacOS is an advantage.
  • Hardware: Ability to assemble/disassemble PCs, upgrade components (RAM/SSD), and troubleshoot printer/scanner issues.
  • Tools: Experience with Ticketing Systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) and Remote Support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills (ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
