Job Overview

BlueRidge IT is seeking a
PowerApps & Power Platform Specialist
to design, build, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Platform. This role requires hands-on expertise in
PowerApps
,
Power Automate
,
Dataverse
, and
Power BI
, along with the ability to integrate these solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external data systems.

The ideal candidate has strong experience developing canvas and model-driven apps, building custom workflows, creating data models, and modernizing processes using low-code/no-code solutions. This role involves working directly with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, translating them into technical designs, and delivering high-quality applications that drive efficiency, automation, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Power Platform Development

• Design, develop, and deploy
  Canvas Apps
  ,
  Model-Driven Apps
  , and
  Custom Pages
  .
• Build automation workflows using
  Power Automate
  (cloud flows, business process flows, RPA).
• Create and manage
  Dataverse
  tables, relationships, security roles, and data models.
• Integrate PowerApps with
  SharePoint, SQL, Azure AD, Graph API, Outlook, Teams
  , and third-party APIs.
• Build and customize
  Power BI
  dashboards and embedded reports where relevant.
• Develop custom connectors and integrate multiple data sources.
• Apply responsive design and app performance optimization best practices.

Solution Architecture & Design

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Create functional and technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and deployment plans.
• Implement governance, security, and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) best practices.
• Contribute to solution designs involving
  Microsoft 365
  ,
  Teams
  , and
  Dynamics 365
  integration.
• Participate in solution blueprinting for larger digital transformation projects.

Maintenance, Enhancements & Support

• Provide ongoing support, bug fixing, and optimization of PowerApps solutions.
• Enhance existing legacy apps and modernize workflows to Power Platform-based solutions.
• Manage version control, change management, and releases using Azure DevOps or GitHub.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with business users, department heads, and technical teams to gather requirements.
• Conduct workshops, user training, and demos for new apps and features.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and data teams to ensure solution alignment.
• Communicate progress, risks, and technical clarifications to leadership and project teams.

Documentation & Best Practices

• Prepare user manuals, training documents, and solution reference guides.
• Document system configurations, data flows, and technical architecture.
• Ensure all Power Platform solutions follow governance, compliance, and security guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 3–6 years of hands-on development experience in
  Microsoft Power Platform
  .
• Strong proficiency in:
• PowerApps
  (Canvas & Model-driven apps)
• Power Automate
  (cloud flows, business process flows, RPA optional)
• Dataverse
  and data modeling
• Power BI development
• Experience with
  SharePoint Online
  ,
  Teams
  ,
  M365
  ,
  SQL
  , and API integrations.
• Ability to design custom connectors and work with REST APIs.
• Good understanding of Azure services such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with
  ALM
  ,
  solution packaging
  , and
  DevOps processes
  .
• Experience with
  JavaScript
  ,
  HTML
  ,
  PowerShell
  , or
  C#
  is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications such as:
• PL-100 (Power Platform App Maker)
• PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant)
• PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst)
• PL-400 (Power Platform Developer)
• PL-600 (Solution Architect)
• Experience working in a Microsoft Partner, MSP, or cloud consulting firm.
• Arabic as a first language is an added plus and highly considered for candidacy.
