Job Description Trade marketing Executive

Job Purpose

To plan, execute, and optimize trade marketing initiatives that drive off-take, visibility, and brand equity of the company s organic fresh food portfolio across key modern trade customers including Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, and Cooperatives.

This role bridges brand ambition and store-level reality ensuring promotions are commercially effective, operationally feasible, and flawlessly executed where it matters most: in front of the shopper.

Key Account Coverage

  • Hypermarkets, Cooperatives, Supermarkets across UAE

Key Responsibilities

  1. Trade Marketing Strategy & Planning

  2. Translate brand objectives for organic products into store-ready trade marketing plans

  3. Develop annual and quarterly trade marketing plans aligned with:
  4. Sales targets
  5. Seasonality of organic fresh produce
  6. Retailer promotional calendars
  7. Define channel-specific strategies (Hyper vs Coop vs Supermarket)

  8. Promotional Calendar Management

  9. Own and manage the customer-wise promotional calendar:

  10. Price-offs
  11. In-store activations
  12. End-cap & gondola promotions
  13. Leaflet & digital promotions
  14. Coordinate promo planning with:
  15. Key Account Managers
  16. Buyers / Category Managers
  17. Internal supply chain & operations teams
  18. Ensure timely submission, approval, and execution of promotions

  19. In-Store Activation & Execution Excellence

  20. Plan and execute:

  21. Sampling activities
  22. Organic awareness campaigns
  23. Health & wellness themed promotions
  24. Seasonal organic drives (Ramadan, Back to School, DSF, National Day, etc.)
  25. Ensure correct placement, pricing, POSM, and compliance with retailer guidelines
  26. Conduct store audits to validate:
  27. Availability
  28. Visibility
  29. Promotion compliance
  30. Price accuracy

  31. Brand Visibility & POSM Management

  32. Develop and deploy trade POSM:

  33. Shelf talkers
  34. Danglers
  35. Standees
  36. Organic signage and storyboards
  37. Ensure consistent organic brand storytelling at shelf level
  38. Monitor POSM usage, condition, and ROI

  39. Cross-Functional Coordination

  40. Work closely with:

  41. Sales team (to align promotions with commercial priorities)
  42. Supply Chain (to ensure promo stock availability)
  43. Quality & Operations (for organic compliance messaging)
  44. Finance (promo spend tracking & accruals)
  45. Act as the single point of coordination for trade promotions execution

  46. Budget Management & ROI Tracking

  47. Manage allocated trade marketing budget responsibly

  48. Track:
  49. Promotion costs
  50. Visibility spends
  51. Activation expenses
  52. Evaluate ROI of promotions using:
  53. Sell-out data
  54. Volume uplift
  55. Incremental revenue
  56. Recommend optimize / stop / scale decisions based on data

  57. Market & Shopper Insights

  58. Monitor competitor activity:

  59. Pricing
  60. Promotions
  61. Visibility tactics
  62. Capture shopper behavior insights specific to organic products
  63. Share actionable insights with Sales & Marketing teams

  64. Retailer Relationship Support

  65. Support Key Account Managers during:

  66. Joint Business Planning (JBP)
  67. Range reviews
  68. Promotional negotiations
  69. Participate in retailer promotional events and campaigns
  70. Ensure brand representation meets retailer and company standards

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2 4 years of experience in UAE in the field of
  • Trade Marketing
  • FMCG / Fresh Foods / Perishables
  • Modern Trade retail environment (UAE experience a must)
  • Experience with organic or health-focused categories is a big plus
  • Valid UAE Driving License is a mus
