Key Job Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Develop formulations for Inkjet inks, focusing on water-based (dye and pigment), UV, and varnish compositions, utilizing both new and existing raw materials.
  • Address customer concerns/returns and modify products by adjusting raw materials or processes.
  • Conduct lab trials with multiple sources of raw materials and record the same.
  • Evaluate and onboard new vendors for raw and packaging materials, ensuring the most cost-effective pricing, reliability and sustainability basis.
  • Prepare and Maintain the SOPs for the entire R&D process.
  • Ensure ISO-compliant quality standards.
  • Research and develop new ink technologies to enhance performance and sustainability.
  • Conduct pilot trials for new lot of Raw materials or change in process based on the day-to-day requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement necessary adjustments.
  • Audit shop floor operations for R&D compliance, ensuring adherence to formulation and testing protocols.

Other:

  • Evaluate supplier quality assurance certifications.
  • Conduct and report raw material quality tests.
  • Develop and refine testing procedures for raw materials.
  • Audit in-process testing for INKs and related materials.
  • Maintain databases, formulas, and samples for ink development.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities in ink production line.

Skills:

·      
Experience in UV INKs (Inkjet/offset/ Screen/Flexo printing) is most desirable.

·      
Especially UV LED inkjet inks, UV LED inkjet varnishes, cleaning agents, water based (dye and pigment) formulations, Production & Customer complaint handling

·      
Hands-on experience in handling lab instruments, processes and techniques/methods applicable to R&D and Quality control.

·      
Experience in SAP –an advantage
