On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Agentic AI Smart Cities Lead – Dubai, UAE (12-Month Project, On-site)

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an
Agentic AI Smart Cities Lead
to design and implement autonomous AI systems that optimize urban operations across Dubai. This
12-month on-site project
focuses on traffic, energy, safety, and citizen services, leveraging agentic AI to deliver measurable impact while ensuring compliance, scalability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Architecture

  • Lead the design and deployment of agentic AI systems for smart city applications.
  • Define reference architectures and best practices for autonomous multi-agent operations.
  • Collaborate with municipal authorities, technology partners, and urban planners to align AI initiatives with city objectives.

Implementation & Optimization

  • Deploy AI agents for traffic optimization, energy management, public safety, and citizen services.
  • Drive AI automation and decision-making initiatives to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
  • Monitor, measure, and continuously optimize AI performance and KPIs.

Innovation & Future Readiness

  • Research emerging AI technologies, including agentic frameworks, LLMs, and IoT integration.
  • Pilot new AI capabilities and recommend strategies for scaling across city operations.

Governance, Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and municipal regulations.
  • Establish ethical guidelines for autonomous AI agent operations.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and governance reviews.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business, technology, and government stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior AI engineers and ensure adoption of best practices.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, IoT, and operations teams to align AI initiatives with enterprise architecture and security policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years in AI/ML, with 3+ years in multi-agent or autonomous AI systems.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic architectures, AI orchestration tools, and IoT integration.
  • Familiarity with urban technologies and smart city platforms.
  • Strong understanding of AI governance, ethics, and compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and project delivery skills.
  • Language requirements:
    Fluent in
    English
    ;
    Arabic proficiency
    is a strong plus.
  • Visa/Sponsorship:
    Candidates outside the UAE must be eligible for a UAE work visa;
    sponsorship will be provided by the client
    for the duration of the project.
