Our Company is hiring an ERP Odoo 15 Data Controller who is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all employee-related data and financial records within the Odoo ERP system. This role involves performing systematic audits, identifying discrepancies, and implementing controls to safeguard data confidentiality and financial accuracy.

Reports To: HR Manager

The ERP Odoo 15 Data Controller will conduct regular and ad-hoc audits of the Odoo 15 system, with a specific focus on the Employees, Accounting, Payroll, Time Off, Project and Expense modules. The primary objective is to verify data accuracy, ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, GDPR, local tax laws), and identify potential risks or fraud. He/She will provide actionable recommendations to management for process improvements and enhanced system security.

  • System Auditing: Inspect account books, financial statements, and HR records within Odoo 15 to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Data Integrity & Security: Monitor the system for incorrect or missing data entries (e.g., untagged invoices, duplicate contacts, incomplete employee records) and ensure consistent usage across departments.
  • Process Compliance: Assess current workflows in Odoo (e.g., expense approvals, time off requests, payroll processing) to ensure they are being followed efficiently and consistently.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll expenses, generating reports for management review.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks within the system related to data security, financial transactions, and user access, recommending best-practice solutions to management.
  • Access Control: Audit user accounts and role-based access levels in Odoo to ensure appropriate data access and segregation of duties are maintained.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed audit logs and documentation of all findings and work with department leads to provide training on correct Odoo usage and data entry standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for Odoo-related data or accounting issues, logging and tracking problems, and coordinating with the Odoo developer or support when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in an accounting or auditing role, with mandatory hands-on experience using the Odoo ERP system, specifically version 15.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in Odoo 15 modules: Accounting, Employees, Payroll, Time Off, and Expenses. Fresher are welcome as long as proficient in ODOO 15.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles (AR, AP, general ledger, reconciliations).
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools within Odoo.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, high degree of accuracy, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, Odoo Certification).
  • Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL for database queries and analysis.
  • Familiarity with data compliance standards like GDPR.
