As a
Graduate Trainee
in the NOC Engineer role, you will:

  1. Learn Civil and Infrastructure Concepts
    : Gain foundational knowledge in civil engineering, including understanding corridors, utilities (e.g., water, electricity, fiber optic cables), and interpreting AutoCAD drawings for the construction of ducts and manholes.
  2. Collaborate with Contractors and Consultants
    : Conduct site visits to observe and assess the work of contractors and consultants, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.

  3. Manage NOC Applications
    : Oversee the NOC release process through government portals, including:

  4. Understanding the four types of NOCs in Dubai (with SLAs of 3, 4, 7, and 10 days) and the corresponding release procedures.

  5. Coordinating with the Tahwan team (infrastructure team) to ensure compliance with regulations related to infrastructure projects.

  6. Understand Government Regulations
    : Familiarize yourself with the permit application processes across all seven Emirates, with a particular focus on the unique rules governing Sharjah's three municipalities and Dubai's RTA and municipality guidelines.

  7. Engage in Site Visits
    : Travel across the UAE to gain hands-on experience, learning directly from site visits and observing various aspects of the civil infrastructure process to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  8. Foster Collaboration and Communication
    : Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain effective communication and coordination, ensuring project milestones are met and issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Ideal candidate background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is highly preferred
  • Background in Architecture or GIS is secondary
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with basic understanding of utilities, manholes, ducts, and infrastructure planning.
