About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director - Audio Visual to join the resort's AV and Entertainment Technical Services team.

Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Lead the planning and execution of AV setups for resort-wide events and entertainment venues.
• Develop long-term strategies for AV infrastructure upgrades and capital improvements.
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to assess feasibility and deliver technical mock-ups for new show concepts.
• Manage departmental budgets, procurement requests, and payroll records.
• Oversee daily AV operations including sound, lighting, projection, and control systems (DMX, DALI, Art-Net/sACN).
• Ensure optimal performance of AV control platforms such as QLab, Crestron, Navigator CSC, and GRMS.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of AV equipment including LED walls, projectors, speakers, and control gear.
• Maintain high standards for setup, programming, inspection, and presentation of AV systems.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols for rigging, flying systems, and aerial show equipment.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and Wynn safety standards across all technical operations.
• Lead and mentor AV technicians and technical managers across multiple venues.
• Conduct daily briefings and regular meetings to communicate event details and updates.
• Hire, train, and manage staff, ensuring comprehensive onboarding and ongoing development.
• Create and maintain SOPs and training manuals for all AV systems and procedures.
• Foster a high-performing, technically capable team culture through recognition and continuous learning.
• Act as the key technical liaison for departments including Conference Services, Banquets, Catering, Sales, F&B, Entertainment, Nightlife, IT, and Facilities.
• Coordinate with external vendors, performers, and production crews to ensure seamless technical execution.

About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Degree in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, Production Design, or related field is an advantage.
• Minimum years of experience in AV technical services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in luxury resorts or five-star entertainment venues is highly desirable.
• Industry certifications in AV control systems, rigging safety, or projection technology preferred.
• Expert knowledge of AV networking and control systems (e.g., QLab, Crestron, GRMS).
• Proficiency in lighting, laser, holography, animation, and control programming tools (ETC, C++, PLC).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities in multicultural environments.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and composed under pressure.
• Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanour and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
