About the Role

The Relationship Manager position is a senior-level role focused on managing and expanding relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) clients within a leading banking institution in Sharjah, UAE. This role is pivotal in delivering bespoke financial solutions, wealth management advice, and exceptional client service to a discerning clientele. The Relationship Manager acts as a trusted advisor, leveraging deep market knowledge and bilingual fluency in English and Arabic to address complex financial needs and drive client satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of High Net Worth (HNW) clients, ensuring the delivery of tailored banking and wealth management solutions.
  • Provide comprehensive financial advice, including investment strategies, portfolio diversification, and risk management, aligned with clients' financial goals and risk profiles.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and proactively identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling a wide range of banking products and services, such as private banking, structured products, and lending solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international financial markets, regulatory requirements, and economic trends to inform client recommendations and strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and confidentiality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HNW clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating seamless banking experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including investment advisors, product specialists, and risk management, to deliver holistic financial solutions.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, proposals, and presentations to clients, demonstrating value and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Participate in networking events, seminars, and client engagement activities to enhance the bank's profile and attract new HNW clients.
  • Mentor and support junior relationship officers, sharing expertise and best practices to elevate team performance.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in relationship management or private banking, with a proven track record of managing HNW client portfolios within the banking sector.
  • Native or near-native fluency in both English and Arabic, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively to a diverse client base.
  • In-depth understanding of wealth management, investment products, financial planning, and risk assessment tailored to HNW individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE banking regulations, compliance standards, and international financial best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and client service skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and long-term relationships with sophisticated clients.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in financial analysis, portfolio management, and market research.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment in handling sensitive client information and transactions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, banking software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for client management and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CFA, CFP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Ongoing professional development in wealth management, investment advisory, or related disciplines is an asset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.
