Job Summary

A rapidly growing industrial and trading group with factories and trading branches in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia is seeking a hands-on, experienced Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will take complete ownership of the finance and accounting function, manage multi-branch operations, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This role requires strong ERP skills, especially Tally and Odoo, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Accounting Operations

  • Manage the full accounting function for manufacturing, trading, and all UAE & Saudi branches.
  • Supervise daily accounting activities and ensure accurate posting of all financial transactions.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing, and prepare entity-level and group-level financial statements.
  • Oversee cost accounting, validate product costing, and support factory performance analysis.
  • Handle intercompany billing, reconciliations, and consolidations.

ERP & Systems Management

  • Must have strong, hands-on practical experience in both Tally and Odoo ERP (not theoretical).
  • Ability to handle accounting, inventory, and logistics workflows inside Odoo.
  • Ensure accurate configuration, data integrity, and process adherence in ERP systems.

Logistics & Supply Chain Financial Coordination

  • Must have experience working with or supervising the Odoo Logistics / Inventory / Warehouse modules.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams on GRN, delivery orders, inventory movements, and costing.
  • Validate landed cost, freight allocation, and stock accuracy between accounting and logistics.

Tax, Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure VAT compliance in the UAE and VAT/Zakat compliance in Saudi Arabia.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.

Budgeting & Cash Flow

  • Support budgeting, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, and overall cash management.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team.
  • Implement discipline, process improvements, and structured reporting systems.
  • Ensure timely completion of all accounting, logistics coordination, and ERP-based tasks.

Multitasking & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously across accounting, logistics, reporting, and ERP operations.
  • Work closely with production, logistics, procurement, and sales teams.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7–15 years of accounting experience, including minimum 3 years as Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager.
  • Strong experience in industrial/manufacturing accounting + trading/distribution businesses.
  • Hands-on daily working experience in Tally and Odoo (must be very strong in both).
  • Experience using Odoo Logistics/Inventory/Warehouse modules.
  • Experience with multi-branch or group companies (preferably UAE + Saudi operations).
  • Strong cost accounting and product costing knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Good English communication skills.

Preferred (Added Advantage)

  • CMA (strongly preferred), CPA, ACCA, or currently pursuing.
  • Previous experience handling UAE VAT and Saudi VAT/Zakat directly.
  • Experience setting up or restructuring accounting systems, departments, and policies.
