CICC – Council of International Chambers of Commerce is appointing Country Directors in up to 150 countries worldwide, excluding jurisdictions affected by sanctions, civil war, or international isolation.

Each country will have one appointed Country Director, reporting directly to the CICC / CSC Main Headquarters (Administrative & Executive Headquarters).

This is a senior executive leadership role with full national responsibility, designed for high-performing, visionary leaders committed to economic development, international trade, investment facilitation, and institutional growth.

Position Overview

The Country Director is the highest executive authority of CICC at the country level and is fully responsible for:

National operations

Strategic planning and execution

Membership development

Trade and investment activities

Project development and reporting

Office establishment and team management

The appointment is strictly performance-based and subject to a three (3) month executive appointment cycle before full confirmation.

Appointment Structure & Targets

Total Duration: 3 Months

Month 1 – Probation Period

Performance-based executive appointment

No fixed salary

Compensation provided only upon achieving minimum defined targets

Focus on:

Country strategy and operational planning

Initial memberships and partnerships

Market positioning of CICC

Project and investment pipeline identification

Months 2–3 – Evaluation Period

Continued performance-based engagement

Evaluation against:

Minimum targets (mandatory for confirmation)

Maximum targets (used for role level and benefits determination)

Preparation for:

Branch registration and certification

Office establishment

Team structuring

Confirmation & Full Appointment

Within the 3-month period:

If minimum targets are achieved → the executive is fully appointed as Country Director

Full enrollment into:

Fixed salary

Full executive benefits package

Attractive compensation aligned with international standards

Failure to achieve minimum targets within 3 months results in non-confirmation of the appointment.

Key Responsibilities & Director Duties

  1. Strategic Leadership & Planning

Act as Country Director and official representative of CICC.

Develop and execute:

National strategic plans

Operational and financial action plans

Initiate independent strategic initiatives aligned with CICC's mission.

Request logistical, administrative, or operational support from CSC / CICC Main Headquarters when required.

  1. Operations & Daily Management

Lead all daily operations of CICC at the country level, including:

Membership onboarding and management (all categories)

Business and institutional engagement

Trade facilitation activities

Project coordination and follow-up

Ensure continuous operational activity to meet minimum and maximum targets.

  1. Memberships, Conferences & Engagement

Develop and manage:

Corporate, institutional, SME, and individual memberships

Strategic sector participation

Organize and oversee:

Conferences

Forums

Business meetings

Official delegations and participation programs

  1. Projects, Investments & Reporting

Identify, initiate, and manage:

Public and private sector projects

Trade and investment opportunities

Prepare:

Project reports

Investment reports

Evaluation and performance reports

Ensure financial and strategic contribution to CICC at the national level.

  1. Office Establishment & Legal Presence

Within the 3-month period, the Country Director is fully responsible for:

Registration of the CICC national branch

Certification and commercial branch approval

Establishment of a physical or registered office

All establishment activities are undertaken under the Country Director's responsibility.

  1. Human Resources & Team Development

Full authority and responsibility for:

Hiring local staff

Selecting, managing, and terminating staff

Creating local operational and working teams

Build a high-performance national team aligned with CICC standards.

  1. Reporting & Performance Control

Mandatory submission of:

Weekly operational reports

Strategic progress updates

Action plans and KPIs

Maintain very high performance standards, measurable achievements, and documented results.

Report directly to:

CICC Main Headquarters

CICC Administrative Headquarters

Support from Main Headquarters

CICC / CSC Main Headquarters will provide:

Administrative support

Strategic guidance

Operational and logistical assistance (upon request)

Alignment with global programs and initiatives
