Role Overview:
The Night Desk Trader is responsible for providing overnight US market coverage. The role involves executing trades, monitoring market movements across multiple asset classes, managing risk, and providing exceptional service to clients during US market hours. The ideal candidate will have multi-asset trading experience, a strong understanding of global markets, and the ability to communicate clearly and proactively with clients.
Ket Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute trades during US market hours across multiple asset classes.
- Monitor global market developments and US market movements to inform trading decisions.
- Maintain close relationships with clients, providing timely market insights, trade updates, and solutions.
- Manage trading books, risk exposures, and margin requirements effectively.
- Collaborate with the day desk and risk team to ensure smooth transition and handover.
- Provide timely reports on positions, P&L, and market activity to management.
- Follow all regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Support strategy implementation and market analysis for the bank's trading operations.
Qualification & Experience:
- 10+ years of trading experience, preferably with exposure to US market hours.
- Multi-asset trading experience across equities, bonds, futures, options, FX, or derivatives.
- Strong client orientation, with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Skilled in trading platforms, including Bloomberg EMSX, TSOX, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of global markets, US market hours, and risk management.
- Ability to monitor positions, manage exposure, and execute trades accurately.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills under time-sensitive conditions.
- Excellent client communication and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of market regulations, compliance, and internal trading controls.
