Job Summary:

The Operations Manager will oversee the entire production and operational processes within the chocolate manufacturing facility. This role ensures efficient production, maintains product quality, manages supply chain and inventory, and implements continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, cost-effectiveness, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of chocolate production, including roasting, coaching, tempering, molding, and packaging processes.
  • Ensure that production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Monitor compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control procedures (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP).
  • Collaborate with QA teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
  • Manage raw materials, ingredients, and packaging inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely sourcing of high-quality cocoa and other materials.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production and propose innovative solutions.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and supervise production, maintenance, and logistics teams.
  • Develop staff through training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintenance & Equipment Management:
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to handle repairs or upgrades.
  • Reporting & Budgeting:
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance, costs, and operational KPIs.
  • Assist in budget planning and cost control.
  • Coordination & Compliance:
  • Work closely with R&D, Sales, and Marketing to align production with market demand.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Food Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in operations or production management within the chocolate, confectionery, or food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, production planning, and inventory control.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Knowledge of cocoa sourcing, roasting, and processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with automation systems and modern chocolate machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5, AED6,000.00 per month
