We are now seeking an experienced
Head of Business Development
to lead global growth initiatives, partnerships, and revenue expansion efforts for our centralised exchange (CEX).

This leadership role will own global BD strategy, execution, and organisational development across all regions.

Role Overview
The Head of Business Development owns the global growth, partnerships, and revenue strategy for the exchange. You will build and lead a high-performing international BD organisation, set clear KPIs, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.

This role will translate high-level company targets into regional strategies, partnership roadmaps, and team execution plans—ensuring alignment across Growth, Marketing, Product, Ops, Compliance, and Trading functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global BD Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute the global business development strategy across key markets (APAC, MENA, Europe, LATAM, CIS).
  • Identify priority regions, partnership models, and revenue drivers based on market insights, competition, and regulation.
  • Convert company-level objectives into actionable regional plans.
  • Team Leadership & Organisational Development
  • Build, lead, and scale a global BD team including regional heads, partnership managers, and affiliate leaders.
  • Define organisational structure, role scopes, and reporting lines.
  • Mentor and develop BD leaders to enable long-term team capability.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and high performance.
  • KPI Ownership & Performance Management
  • Own the global BD KPI framework, including:

  • Trading volume contribution

  • User acquisition and retention
  • Partner ROI and performance metrics
  • Revenue and incentive efficiency

  • Establish and maintain weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting cadence.

  • Identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Partnerships & Ecosystem Growth
  • Lead partnerships across:

  • Market makers and liquidity providers

  • Institutional/professional trading clients
  • KOLs, affiliates, influencers, IB networks
  • Web3 projects, wallets, payments, and ecosystem integrations

  • Negotiate commercial terms and long-term collaboration structures.

  • Scale and optimise global partner/affiliate programs.
  • Regional Expansion & Market Entry
  • Lead new market entry including:

  • Partner sourcing and onboarding

  • Localised GTM strategies
  • Legal, compliance, and operational coordination

  • Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and strategic meetings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with Growth/Marketing to align campaigns and messaging.
  • Share BD insights to Product & Tech teams to shape roadmap and feature prioritisation.
  • Collaborate with Trading and Ops to improve liquidity and execution strategies.

Requirements
Experience

  • 5–7+ years in Business Development, Partnerships, or Sales.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in crypto, fintech, trading, or related domains.
  • Proven success building BD teams and scaling multi-regional business pipelines.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable commercial growth within a CEX or trading-driven environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of centralized exchange models, market structure, and liquidity mechanics.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and organisational management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-structuring experience.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical capability.
  • Thrives in high-growth, fast-paced, and evolving environments.

Language & Culture

  • Fluent English required.
  • Additional languages such as Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Turkish, Portuguese, or Russian are a major advantage.
  • Strong cross-cultural leadership and experience managing distributed teams.
