We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in real estate development or property management to join our finance team.
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and cost control related to our real estate projects. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in real estate development accounting, cash flow management, project costing, and compliance with UAE financial regulations. This role requires accuracy, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for ongoing and upcoming real estate development projects.
- Manage project costing, revenue recognition, and WIP (Work in Progress) calculations.
- Handle daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, forecast project financials, and report variances to management.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities.
- Review and reconcile contractor invoices, subcontractor payments, and supplier accounts.
- Implement internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial transparency.
- Work closely with the management and project teams to ensure alignment between finance and development progress.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and feasibility studies for new real estate projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in real estate development or property management.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is REQUIRED.
- Strong expertise in real estate accounting, project costing, and revenue recognition.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and financial compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
