Our finance team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the communities we manage. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join us. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial, supervisory and analytical skills.

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. The role involves overseeing general ledger activities, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Review bank, account, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Review and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Assist in the budgeting
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal financial controls.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
  • Review payroll entries and ensure accurate posting in the ledger.
  • Prepare VAT and corporate returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., UAE VAT).
  • Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance when required.
  • Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and analyses.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local taxation requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS formulas).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
