Job Summary:

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at our 5-star restaurant. This role is essential in ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all guests from the moment they arrive until they leave. The hostess is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, seating guests, and providing overall support to the restaurant team to ensure the smooth operation of the dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and Seating:

  • Welcome guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant.
  • Verify reservations and guide guests to their assigned tables.
  • Manage the seating plan and ensure a balanced flow of guests to ensure service efficiency.

2. Reservation Management:

  • Handle reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems.
  • Confirm reservations and respond to any inquiries regarding dining options, special requests, and other concerns.
  • Maintain an organized reservation book or system.

3. Guest Relations:

  • Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Build rapport with regular guests and VIPs, remembering their preferences and special requests.

4. Coordination:

  • Communicate effectively with the restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor the dining area to anticipate and respond to guest needs and ensure tables are turned over efficiently.

5. Ambience and Cleanliness:

  • Ensure the hostess station and entrance are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Monitor the dining area to maintain a tidy and pleasant environment for guests.

6. Special Events and Promotions:

  • Assist with the planning and coordination of special events, promotions, and private parties.
  • Provide guests with information about ongoing promotions and events.

7. Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest preferences.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including generating reports and managing guest feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a hostess or in a customer service role, preferably in a high-end or fine dining establishment.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in reservation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficient both in English & Arabic languages.

Candidates must be available for immediate hiring.

Arabic Syrian & Lebanese is an advantage in this position.
